This is the biggest magnolia blossom I have ever seen. It was easily 10-12 inches across. Other interesting thing...it is pollinated by beetles. I guess we don't have bees big enough.

I love magnolias. Not only do they smell great, but the flowers look like eggs before they open. Egg trees! :D
